One North Charles Street is a landmark downtown Baltimore office tower, originally built in 1963 by the founder of Amoco Oil. The property, at the corner of Charles and Fayette Streets, was one of downtown Baltimore’s first modern high-rise office towers and a key component of the central business district’s renaissance.
The project consists of a 290,619 square-foot, 25-story office tower with 30 on-site parking spaces. The lobby and mezzanine levels feature travertine marble and other upgraded finishes. In addition, over $10 million of renovations are underway (2008) for the project including a state-of-the- art security system, upgrades to the plaza area, lobby, common areas, and restrooms as well as the building systems. One North Charles’ location also provides direct access to all major North/South and East/West routes serving greater Baltimore.
Originally built in 1963 by the founder (Jacob Blaustein) of AMOCO Oil (now ATAPCO Properties) spearheading Baltimore’s renaissance. The 25-story steel tower features spacious travertine marble lobby with 8 efficient passenger elevators, concierge, 24-hour security, perimeter offices and on-site parking.
