Leander Johnson serves as Vice President of Brokerage and Investment at Koa Partners. In this capacity, Mr. Johnson oversees the strategic development and implementation of brokerage activities at the firm.
Prior to joining Koa Partners, he worked extensively as a landlord rep broker focusing on office transactions helping many large national tenants, owners, developers, and investors. His experiences include Design/Space planning, Micro/Macro market strategy, Creative deal structuring, Project/Construction Management, and Asset Management, which has enabled him to drive strategic financial and transactional results in excess of $80MM
Additionally, in prior roles he has experience working with Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) borrowers advising on matters such as loan workouts and modifications, assumptions, structured defeasance, lenders consents, and other complex issues. He has developed strong relationships within the commercial real estate community by producing measurable bottom-line results with integrity.
He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, and has also completed additional coursework through the Harvard Business School (HBS) finance certificate program. Mr. Johnson is active in the commercial real community, serving on the Advisory Board of Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) DFW Chapter and the UrbanPlan Committee. He is the Co-chair of ULI NEXT and is active with The Real Estate Council (TREC). He serves on the board of Friends of Fair Park and was selected to be a part of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders National Forum. Leander was also appointed by the Mayor of Dallas, Eric Johnson, to serve as Chair of the South Dallas/Fair Park Opportunity Fund to help facilitate economic development projects in neighborhoods surrounding the South Dallas/Fair Park community.
